Dr. Cruz was born and raised in the Philippines where she finished medical school in 2001 at the University of the Philippines in Manila. She completed her Internship at UP-Philippine General Hospital. She graduated from the same university for her undergraduate degree with a BA in Philosophy where she graduated cum laude. She completed her Pediatric residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Paul L. Foster School of Medicine in El Paso, Texas. Prior to Residency, she trained for four years in Pediatrics in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. Dr. Cruz is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She provides travel consultations for children and adults and is the only provider certified to administer the yellow fever vaccine on the Southern Oregon Coast.

Dr. Cruz enjoys reading and snowboarding and speaks Tagalog and Spanish fluently.
